Constituent Assembly Speaker Subash Chandra Nemwang Passes Away

Kathmandu: Subash Chandra Nemwang, Speaker of the Constituent Assembly, passed away due to a heart attack, according to his Personal Secretary, Krishna Prasad Kafle.

Nemwang, who had been resting at home due to a common cold, was rushed to the hospital at 1:30 pm after suffering a heart attack last night. Despite medical intervention, he could not be revived.

The news of his passing brought several prominent political figures to the hospital, including Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Party President KP Sharma Oli, Speaker Devraj Ghimire, National Assembly Speaker Ganesh Timilsina, and other party leaders.

Born on March 11, 1953, Subash Chandra Nemwang was known for his strong and dignified presence in Nepali politics. He was a leader renowned for his ability to build bridges and collaborate with individuals across the political spectrum. He also held the position of Vice President within the CPN (UML) party.

Nemwang's passing marks the end of an era in Nepali politics, leaving behind a legacy of leadership and statesmanship.
